As parents who visit almost weekly, we have the opportunity to truly observe you in action. Your work with our son and all the boys does not go unnoticed. We are very appreciative and thankful with regard to the care and encouragement you provide on a daily basis. We know this is not an easy task.

The family advocate offers an additional line of communication within the organization for the families and guardians of those served. In addition to serving as a resource to individual families in need of assistance, the family advocate strengthens Bancroft's culture of customer service, and is working on other initiatives that encourage partnerships among persons served, family members and staff. To reach the family advocate, Dr. Dan Keating, call (856) 524-7366, or e-mail dkeating@bnh.org.
The Bancroft Family Council is a resource to Bancroft management on organizational family matters and concerns. The group includes family members of children and adults served by Bancroft, and encourages representation from each major Bancroft program. Those interested in joining the Family Council should contact their senior director or the Family Advocate directly.
Bancroft offers frequent seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics. In particular, a Developmental Disability Workshop Series is offered free of charge to the public through the generous support of TD Charitable Foundation. This series provides information related to support, care and treatment of people with developmental disabilities, disability laws and services, and other topics of interest to families. Upcoming seminars are announced in Bancroft newsletters and the schedule is available here. Many of the workshops are videotaped and available on the Bancroft website.
The Bancroft Family Directory is published biannually to encourage positive relationships and support among families of those served. The directory includes family contact information listed both alphabetically and in geographical order. Participation in the Family Directory is voluntary. However, only those families who participate in the directory receive a copy. As many families find the directory very useful, we encourage everyone's participation. For more information, call the Corporate Communications office at (856) 524-7479.
