Haddonfield, NJ—April 6, 2011— A statewide autism expert will present a free workshop on autism for parents and professionals in Haddonfield on Wed. April 20.
The session will be presented by Caroline Eggerding, M.D., chair of the New Jersey State Task Force on the Education of Students with Autism and a member of the N.J. Governor's Council for Medical Research and Treatment of Autism. Dr. Eggerding is also vice president of clinical services and chief medical officer for Bancroft, a leading nonprofit organization serving people with autism and other neurological challenges.
The workshop will focus on the latest medical advances in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders. Topics will include genetic etiology, neuro-brain chemistry, medications, special diets, assessments and therapeutic interventions.
Designed for family members and professionals who support people with autism spectrum disorders, the workshops will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the Farrington building on Bancroft’s Haddonfield Campus at 425 Kings Highway East.
